Elaine M. (Levesque) Emery, 55, died peacefully September 18, 2011 at her home in China Grove, NC.
She was born May 8, 1956 in Goffstown to Robert and Angele (Horion) Levesque. She grew up in Manchester, attending Ste. Marie’s Grammar School and Manchester High School West, and earned her bachelor’s degree from New Hampshire College in 1990.
Most recently, she worked as a finance manager for Horizon CSA in Mooresville, North Carolina. Before moving to North Carolina in 2006, she worked in accounting and finance for many companies in the greater Manchester area, including New Hampshire Community Loan Fund in Concord, Brita GmbH in Londonderry, and the Manchester Parks, Recreation and Cemetery Department.
She loved traveling, sewing, cooking, history, and most of all to spend time with her family.
Family members include her husband of 35 years, Michael Emery of China Grove, North Carolina; two daughters, Hannah and her husband Alec of Oakland, California, and Kara of Waco, Texas; her father, of Manchester; one brother, Donald Levesque and his wife JoAnn of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Connie Compagna of Manchester and Collette Fordham and her husband Gerald of Los Alamos, New Mexico; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and by her brother-in-law Roger Compagna.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester.
