Carroll Wayne Ayers, age 47, died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at his residence of 726 Holland Road in Danville.
Born January 20, 1964 in Danville, VA, he was the son of the late Roy Lee Ayers and Sally Frances Creasey Ayers, who died August 18, 2011. His heart became very empty when he lost his mother, whom he loved dearly, and he was ready to be with her once again and his savior He spent his entire life in Danville. Mr. Ayers worked for Holbrookâs Tree Services. He had been disabled for the past 10 years. Carroll dearly loved his family. He attended Gatewood Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister: Carolyn Tiller and husband Jerry of Ringgold; one nephew: Corey Tiller, whom he was proud of and loved dearly; one uncle: Carroll Creasey of Gibsonville, N.C.; a very, very special friend: James Holbrook; and he had a lot of family friends; also his dog Nosey, his close companion whom he loved dearly; and other special friends including Billy and Laura. He was predeceased by one brother: Robert Ayers.
Funeral services officiated by Rev. Johnny Gentry will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Pelham United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 20, 2011, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the residence 726 Holland Road, Danville, VA, 24541.
