Obituary

Ann J. (Grady) Adorn, 52, of Walpole died September 15 at Wingate in Needham. She was the wife of Frank J. Adorn.
Born in Norwood, September 11, 1959, the daughter of Thomas and Patricia (Bowman) Grady of Medfield, Mrs. Adorn was raised in Medfield and had lived in Walpole for the past six years.
She was a graduate of Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, Boston College and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Mrs. Adorn had been very active in the National Democratic Party and had been a Regional Campaign manager for the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy for many years.
She was one of the founding members of the Second Helping Organization in Boston and had organized benefits for the Greater Boston Food Bank.
Ann had also been a volunteer at Walpole High School.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her children Daniel and Meaghan Adorn of Walpole.
She is also survived by her sister Maureen Whooley of Medfield.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday September 20 from the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Timothy’s Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
