Obituary

Albert G. Karam, 79, of Manchester died September 13, 2011 at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on March 31, 1932 to Ganem and Badia (Shaia) Karam. He lived in Manchester for most of his life and in Merrimack for 12 years.
During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Army. He was a graduate of the New Hampshire School of Accounting and Commerce.
Mr. Karam worked for Associated Grocers, Nashua Corporation and BankEast. He later was a realtor with the Norwood Group and Better Homes and Gardens.
He served on the workers compensation board for the state of New Hampshire.
He was predeceased by his wife, Doris (Labbe) Karam, a son, Kenneth Karam and a grandson, Derek Bilodeau.
The family includes three children, Deborah Florek and her husband, Mick, of Nevada, Melissa Karam and her husband, Michael Sharon, of San Francisco, CA, and Michele McIntyre and her husband, Michael, of Manchester; a daughter in law, JoAnn Karam of Merrimack; eight grandchildren, Kurt, Amanda, Timothy, Scott, Joshua, Ganem, Samantha and Kenneth; two great grandchildren, Zoe and Deklan; a sister, Sr. Mary Michael of the Sisters of the Precious Blood; two brothers, William Karam and his wife, Cecile, of Manchester, and George Karam and his wife, Joan, of Florida; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, September 19, 2011 at St. Peter Church, 567 Manchester Rd., Auburn. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester at the convenience of the family.
