Obituary

George Craig Jr., 67 of Bedford, NH died August 20, 2011.

He was born in Newburyport MA December 11, 1943, to George and Elizabeth (Varney) Craig.

George received his engineering degree in 1966 from the University of New Hampshire. He had worked as an engineer for Polaroid for over thirty years.

He lived for a time in Gorham, NH, as well as thirty-eight years in Burlington, MA. He had been a resident of Bedford, NH since 2007.

George was honored to have the opportunity to be a volunteer at the YMCA’S Camp Nellie Huckins Camp in Ossipee, NH for over 12 years.

He could fix anything: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, you name it he could fix it. He loved Disney World and made it a yearly event. He also enjoyed the Red Sox, golf, skiing, old movies, and all things Scottish. Above all else he loved his family and will be missed.

Family members include his wife of 46 years, Pamela (Hasey) Craig, of Bedford; 3 daughters, Tara E. Craig-Lewis, of Merrimack, Amanda P. Craig, Pamela Craig-Lefchak, both of Bedford; a son George”Randy”Craig, of MA; 5 grandchildren; a brother, David Craig, of Portsmouth; nieces, nephews and cousins.


A funeral liturgy took place on Friday, August 26, 2011 in Lambert Funeral Home and Crematory, 1799 Elm St.

Encryptment followed in Pine Grove Mausoleum.
