O'BRYAN, HELEN JARBOE "GRANNY," 97, passed away on July 8, 2011.
She was a retired cook for Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, a former member of St. Helen Church, and member of Blessed Theresa of Calcutta Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. "J.B." O'Bryan, Sr.; her son, Larry O'Bryan; and her grandson, Jason O'Bryan.
Survivors include her children, Robert (Pat), David (Donna), Eddie (Joyce), Stephen (Tammy), Mary, Rick and Fred O'Bryan; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her brother, James Jarboe.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Theresa of Calcutta, 903 Fairdale Road, Fairdale, KY, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday, 9-11 a.m. and 2-9 p.m Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
In honor of "Granny" who always said "Charity begins at home", the family requests that expressions of sympathy be given to someone within your own family who is in need.
