Obituary

David E. Shaw 58, of Franklin, died peacefully, at home Sunday May 29, 2011 surrounded by his family following an illness.
Born in Brighton, November 13, 1952 a son of Marilyn F. (Gauthier) Shaw of Franklin, and the late David E. Shaw he had been a longtime Franklin resident.
Mr. Shaw was raised and educated in Franklin, and was a 1971 graduate of Franklin High School. He worked as a custodian for Medway High School for over 23 years, and was a cafeteria worker at the former Medfield State Hospital.
He enjoyed watching all the Boston area sports teams, genealogy, movies, and spending time with his family especially, his nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Franklin, and did missionary work in the Philippines, and in Utah.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by 3 sisters; Diane M. Friend and her husband Dana of Franklin, Lynn Shaw and her partner Edward Lang of Franklin, and Patricia Shaw Mullaney and her husband Bernard, Jr. of Franklin.
Also surviving are 4 nieces; Terri Seymour and her husband John, Rachael Friend, Micaela A. Hersee, Amanda Mullaney, and 2 nephews; Mark Shaw Friend and his wife Amy, and James Bernard Shaw Mullaney.
He also leaves 3 great nieces & 2 great nephews, and his extended family at the church of LDS.
He was the brother of the late James E. Shaw.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Wednesday June 1st, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. FRANKLIN, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 91 Jordan Rd. Franklin, at 10AM.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-8PM.
