Ethel E. (Irwin) Ardolino, of Plymouth formerly of Medford, died on April 18th at Plymouth Crossing with her cherished daughters, Ann Briand of Sagamore and Ellen E. Evensen of Marshfield, at her side. She was 89. The beloved wife of the late Albert J. Ardolino, she is also survived by her sisters Shirley Hogan and Lillian Frasier, her 3 grandchildren Mike Evensen, Michele Donovan and Amanda Evensen and her 5 great grandchildren Alexa, Hannah & Cameron Evensen; Brenna Donovan and Brielle Evensen. Sister of the late Donald Irwin, Margaret Hecht, Gladys Sullivan and Gloria Silva. Ethel was born in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School and Harvard University. She had worked for the Medford School Department for over 20 years as a bookkeeper. She volunteered at Medford Hospital and was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She enjoyed painting, gardening, working with stained glass, cake decorating and especially spending time with her family. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) from 1 to 4 PM followed by a prayer service at 3 PM. Burial will be held at the Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne on Monday April 25th. Friends and family are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations in her memory be made to Beacon Hospice, 32 Resnik Rd, Plymouth, MA 02360.
