Obituary

PFC Jonathon David Hall, 23, Woodlawn, TN, died Thursday, April 8, 2010, at in Afghanistan from wounds he suffered a day earlier when his vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with full military honors with Pastor David Lawson officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday with full military honors. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Woodland Park Baptist Church, Chattanooga, TN. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church..Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born September 9, 1986 at Ft. Campbell, KY. He grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and attended Northwest High School for one year. He was a combat medic assigned to Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment(Rakkasan), 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assualt).
He was awarded the following medals: Bronze Star Medal (Posthumous), Purple Heart Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Bronze Service Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Combat Medal Badge, Weapons Qualification Badge Rife Expert, and Overseas Service Bar.
Survivors include his father Lt Col. Steven D. Hall, Anchorage, Alaska; his mother, Robynn K. Harrison, Rocky Face, GA; sister, Tristyn E. Hall, Ashland City, TN; paternal grandparents, Mary and Hugh Hall, Woodlawn, TN; paternal great-grandmother, Ruby Johnson, Indian Mound, TN; and maternal grandparents, CW5 (Ret) Don and Jan Priddy, Chattanooga, TN.
