Thomas K. “Tommy” Doherty, 68 of Medford, died Tuesday unexpectedly in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA.

Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Evelyn T. (MacLean) and Francis P. Doherty. Thomas was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Vietnam war from1959 to 1962. He also was a member of the Club “FED”.

Beloved husband of Carol (Graham) Doherty. Devoted father of Michael J. Doherty, Diane Doherty and her husband Timothy all of Medford, Kimberly Conley of Winchester. Father in law of Robin Doherty of Winchester. Loving grandfather of Sean, Kevin, Michael and Edward. Brother of Maureen Fowler of North Reading, Patricia Cashman of Andover, Brian Doherty of Medford and Alan Doherty of Ashland.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday March 29 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours Sunday 4 - 8.

Interment will be private.
