Loving father of Marie DeBenedictis of Tacoma, WA, Anne DeBenedictis and her husband Daniel Camino of Lexington, Louise DeBenedictis of Reading, Vincent DeBenedictis and his wife Joan of Wakefield, Jean DeBenedictis and her partner Gail Schoenbrunn of Jamaica Plain, Philip DeBenedictis and his wife Yvonne of Weymouth, John DeBenedictis of Pembroke and Angela DeBenedictis and her husband Joseph Chang of Reading. Dear grandfather of Paul DeBenedictis and his wife Stephanie Marcucci of Reading, Michael DeBenedictis and his wife Crista of Waltham, David Gallagher and his fiancée Emma Viscidi of Arlington, Stephen DeBenedictis of Wakefield, Daniel Camino of Lexington, Andrew DeBenedictis of San Francisco CA, Gregory Chang of Reading, Lisa DeBenedictis of Pembroke, Joseph DeBenedictis of Pembroke, Elizabeth Chang of Reading, Julia DeBenedictis of Pembroke and Lily DeBenedictis of Jamaica Plain. Devoted brother of Jean Ricupero and Marie DeBenedictis, both of East Boston and the late Fr. Matthew DeBenedictis, OFM, of New York, NY, Daniel DeBenedictis of Lynn, Fr. Salvator DeBenedictis, OFM, of Catskill, NY, Teresa DeBenedictis of East Boston and Albert DeBenedictis of Melrose. Louis served in the U.S. Army during WWII; he was wounded in action in France and was awarded the Purple Heart. His funeral was from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford at 10 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visiting hours were Monday, September 7, 2009, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM.
