Meredith-----Margaret “Peggy” Hancock, 52, of 37 Windsong Place died at her home on Friday February 13, 2009.
Peggy was born January 26, 1957 in Plainfield, N.J. She had lived most of her life in the Lakes Region.
Peggy graduated from Laconia High School in 1975 and from Bryant College in R.I. She had formerly been employed at the Laconia State School. She loved gardening and cooking.
Survivors include her husband Randy M. Hancock, of Meredith; her parents, R William “Bill” and Gwendolyn (Chapman) Bastraw, of Laconia; a son Jaimon Hancock of Meredith; 2 daughters Jennica Hancock and Caitlin Hancock both of Meredith; a brother, Michael Bastraw, of Laconia and two sisters, Barbara Bastraw of Richmond, Virg. and Kristen Bastraw of Belmont.
There are no calling hours.
A Memorial Funeral Service will be held at the Laconia Congregational Church 18 Veterans Square, Laconia on Saturday February 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Dr. Warren Bouton, pastor of the church will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of N.H. 814 Elm Street Suite # 300 Manchester, NH 03101-2230.
