Boston - Arthur M. Cunha, 82, of Westport, MA passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Mariano Mello and Mary Lopes.
He was born in New Bedford and lived his entire life on the South Coast of Massachusetts. He was last employed by Sylvan Nurseries but also worked for Roseland Nurseries and Quansett Nurseries ; prior to working in the nursery field, he was an EMT for 30 years working for both Alert Ambulance and Stat Ambulance. Because of his EMT experiences, he was a member of the 10 Gallon Club for blood donation at St. Luke’s Hospital. Arthur loved animals and the out of doors. Every fall he went to New Hampshire to photograph the foliage. He was a member of the Fall River and Whaling City Camera Clubs.
He is survived by his close friends.

Graveside service to which friends are invited will be Monday, December 1, 2008 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
