DRACUT - Edward Paul Regan , Jr of Dracut passed on October 4th , 2008. Born in Shirley, MA on September 14, 1954, he was the son of Louise Sobczak Regan of Dracut and Edward Regan, Sr. of Chico, CA.
A graduate of Phillips Academy, Andover class of 1972, he received his BA from Rollins College, Winter Park FL and his Masters in Psychology from Hollins College, Roanoke W. Virginia where he was also a teaching fellow.
In 1989 he married Linda Copeland of Worcester, MA. The wedding took place on top of Mount Wachusett with Major Ellen Engstrom of the Salvation Army officiating. They honeymooned in Maine along with their beloved lab, Kasha.
Ed and Linda lived in CA, upstate NY and Maine while working together over the past 2 decades and raising their three children, Ben, Mike and Maggie and many pets.
Ed was an incredibly talented man, both artistically and musically, and shared his love of nature with his children in who he instilled an interest and respect for their environment. He was a runner having completed many road races, marathons and triathlons. A very sentimental man who loved his family, he was kind and generous. Ed and Linda were best friends.
In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by his mother, Louise Sobczak of Dracut; two sons, Ben, and Mike, and a daughter, Maggie, all of Dracut; two sisters; Laurie (Roger) Lepine of Lowell, Ellen (Steven) Garcia of Hudson, NH; two brothers, Paul (Trudy) Regan of Batavia, IL and Tim (Diane) Regan of Dracut; his father Edward P. Regan (Marie) and his step-sister, Judith Jones of Chico CA and his in-laws, Penny and Ronnie Copeland of Worcester and Beth (Bob) Townsend of Millbury. He also leaves behind 7 nephews; Luke, Marcus and Connor Regan, Jack Lepine, Bradley Garcia and Robbie and Brian Townsend, and four nieces; Carolyn, Taylor and Kelly Regan and Amy Garcia all of whom he loved very much.

A celebration of his life will be held on October 25, 2008 at the Polish AMVet Club, 201 Coburn Street, Lowell 01850 from 1-4 PM.
