Obituary

William Waxman of Chelsea died on August 26, 2008 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital after a brief illness. He was 85 years old. William was the beloved husband of the late Doris (Baritz).

William was born in Boston and was a resident of Chelsea for most of his life. He attended the Chelsea schools and High School as well as attended classes at Bentley College and Harvard Extension classes. He was the owner of William Waxman Insurance Agency in Chelsea. William was a Past President of Temple Emmanuel in Chelsea, Past President of the Orange Street Shule and Past President of the Elm Street Shule. William was also the Past President of the Chelsea Little League and Past President of the Chelsea Y.M.H.A. He was a former City of Chelsea Auxiliary Police Officer and was a member of Lions International, the Masons, and the Knights of Phythias Bellingham Lodge #53.

William was the devoted father of Debra C. Krinsky and her husband Martin, Ronald M. Waxman and his wife Wendy, and Steven A. Waxman. He was the dear brother of the late Sam and Morris Waxman. William was the loving grandfather of Matthew A. Krinsky, Jonathan N. Krinsky and his wife De’Arna, Erica B. Krinsky, and Adam M. and Jacob H. Waxman. Services at Temple Emmanuel, corner of Cary Ave. and Tudor St., Chelsea, on Friday, August 29 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Everett. Memorial week at the home of Debra and Martin Krinsky through Thursday afternoon. Contributions in William’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
