Punta Gorda, FL-Fernande E. Saindon, 84, died August 18, 2008.
She was born in Manchester, NH on July 23, 1924 the daughter of Joseph and Colombe (Poulin) Ouellette and prior to moving to Florida in November of 2002 she had been a lifelong resident of Manchester.
She retired from the New England Telephone Co. in 1983 where she worked as an operator.
She was president of the Social Club of Medford Farms in Goffstown where she resided for several years before moving to Florida. She touched those who knew her with her wonderful spirit and great sense of humor. She enjoyed Knitting, crocheting, playing cards and loved to cook.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Leopold Saindon in 1986.
She leaves 4 daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Cecile) DesRochers of Punta Gorda, FL, Mrs. William (Diane) Stephens of Manchester, NH, Mrs. Gerard (Annette) Janelle of Punta Gorda, FL., and Mrs. Stewart (Louise) Neer of Lexington, KY.. nine Grandchildren, eleven greatgrandchildren. Two brothers, Gerard Ouellette of Hooksett, NH, and Joseph Ouellette of Austin, TX. Three sisters, Pauline Houle of Goffstown, NH, Claire Jacob of Manchester, NH and Sr. Jacqueline (Blanche) Ouellette r.b.p of Montreal PQ , Canada and several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES:Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St..
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Belmont St., Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
