Frank C. Molinari passed away on August 3, 2008. He was 84 years old.
The son of Italian immigrants, Frank was born in Cambridge and graduated from the Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. After high school, he joined the army serving during WWII and the famous Battle of the Bulge. He was also and ex POW.
Frank married Eleanor (Marino) Molinari, his devoted wife for over 62 years. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 32 years and retired as a manager from the Malden Branch. He was a member of the ITAM Club of Malden, the D.A.V. of Malden and an esteemed member of the ex POW Group from the VA Clinic on Causeway Street in Boston. Frank was also a recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and the French Legion of Honor.
Frank was the loving father of Paula Rochefort and her husband Bill of Billerica, Angela Hogan and her husband Paul of Saugus, Frank Molinari and his wife Carolyn of Methuen, John Molinari and his wife Paula of Milton, Ernie Molinari of Lynn, Mary Martens and her husband Kevin of Malden and Jimmy Molinari of Malden. He was the dear brother of Celia Carolina, Joe Molinari, Mauro “Sonny” Molinari and the late Skippy and Walter Molinari and Theresa Roffi. Frank was the cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, August 6th at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday, August 5th from 4-8 p.m. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
