In Taunton, April 22, 2008 Priscilla A. died at the age of 88 after a lengthy illness at Longmeadow of Taunton. She was the wife of the late David P. Hayes Sr. Priscilla was born in Taunton to the late Cornelius & Annie (Dugan) Kelly. She was educated in Taunton schools and graduated from Waltham School of Nursing and the University of Florence in Italy. Priscilla served her country during WWII with the U.S. Army. She served in India, Persia and Italy. Priscilla was a member of Morton Hospital’s Retirement Association and the David F. Adam’s Post #611 V.F.W. She also served as the V.F.W’s surgeon general. Priscilla loved spending time with her family and her friends. She leaves her children David P. Hayes Jr. of New Bedford, Kevin M. Hayes of Centerville, Timothy B. Hayes of Lake Worth, FL., Joseph N. Hayes of Falmouth, Helen A. Lovern of Durham, N.C., Priscilla A. Duarte of North Dighton and Mary Preston of Taunton. Her siblings Cornelius J. Kelly, Charles J. Kelly both of Taunton and the late Helen Corr & John E. Kelly. Priscilla also leaves her 16 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton on Sat., April 26th at 10am. followed a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Fri. from 5-8pm. Interment in St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
