Kathryn G. Coyne, 72, of Hollis, NH, passed away on March 19th, 2008 at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody after a lengthy illness. She was born in Malden on August 27th, 1935 to her parents John and Eleanor (Daley) Grant. During her lifetime, Kathryn has lived in Malden, Reading, Saudi Arabia and has been a resident of Hollis, New Hampshire since 1983. She is a graduate of Girls Catholic High School in Malden and continued her studies at Boston Teachers College receiving a degree in education. She attained her master’s degree in education from Boston College. For many years, Kathryn was a schoolteacher at the Franklin School in Medford. She enjoyed being a volunteer to many charitable organizations including the Susan G. Komen Foundation. She is survived by her husband; Robert E, Coyne; her children; Robert E. Coyne and his wife Christine of Bellevue, Washington and Kathryn C. Cronin and her husband David of Marblehead; her grandchildren Meeghan, Grant, Molly and Reaghan; her brother Attorney John J. Grant of Reading and Malden; her nephew Kevin P. Grant and his wife Emily of Lynn; and by her grandnephew Shea Grant. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services from the A.J. Breslin & Son Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden at Medford line on Wednesday March 26th at 9:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday March 25th from 4-8 PM.
