Obituary

Mr. Sean Patrick Manning, of Wilmington, formerly of Medford, beloved husband of Maria Angela (Manganiello) Manning, died on Sunday evening, March 16, 2008, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts, following a lengthy illness. He was 44 years old.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, on May 30, 1963, he was the beloved son of Thomas J. Manning of Florida and the late Mary (Toomey) Manning. Sean was raised by his maternal grandparents, the late Matthew and Helen Toomey. Mr. Manning was a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1981 and was enlisted in the National Guard for several years. He loved to garden and enjoyed his own pool in his back yard in Wilmington. He loved his family cat, Sammy. Above all, he was a great family person and could never do enough for his beloved son and daughter, Mark and Kristen. He always loved to watch them play school sports, especially, his son’s hockey and his daughter’s soccer. Sean was known by his young nieces and nephews as “Uncle Shawny Boy” and would always was able to entertain them with his wonderful impersonation’s of Donald Duck.
Besides his beloved wife, Maria and their children, Mark and Kristen, Sean will be very sorely missed by his six siblings; Laura Faulkner of Ohio, Deborah Pendergast of E. Bridgewater, Kenneth Manning of Allston, Stephen Flury of Florida, Lynn Flury of Medford and Brian Flury of Revere, three brothers-in-law; Joseph Manganiello of Rowley, John Manganiello of Peabody and Steve Manganiello of North Andover, two sisters-in-law; Susanne Bromander of Stoneham and Gina Hayes of Woburn and several loving nieces and nephews. His funeral was from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visiting hours were Tuesday, March 18, 2008, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
