WEBSTER - Theodore B. “Ted” Pelletier, 85, of 4 Linda Street, died Saturday, December 29, in Overlook Masonic Health Care, Charlton.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Gretchen D. (Kelly) Pelletier; 5 sons, Paul A. Pelletier and his wife Marlene of Marlborough, Eric N. Pelletier and his wife Anna of Fairfield, CT, Gary M. Pelletier and his wife Micheline of Andover, Dr. Glenn J. Pelletier and his wife Stacey of Villanova, PA and Dean A. Pelletier of Chicago, IL; 2 daughters, Donna M. Mondani and her husband Peter of Cheshire, CT and Denise A. Pelletier and her husband Lawrence H. Gennari of Weston; a brother, Ovila Pelletier of Webster; 11 grandchildren, Peter and Mark Mondani, Alexander, Madison, Hadley, Garrett, Brynn, Kenyon and Therese Pelletier, and Henry and Louisa Gennari; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his brothers Anthony, Ralph, Clarence, Emil, Leonard, Armand and Wilfred “Junior” Pelletier, and by his sister Dorothy Lusignan.
He was born in Webster, one of the 10 children of Wilfred Pelletier, Sr., and Louisa (Nadeau) Pelletier, and was a lifelong resident. He attended Bartlett High School.
He was an Army Air Force Veteran of World War II. Following his discharge, he attended umpire school in Florida and umpired for the Pioneer Valley League.
Mr. Pelletier was a salesman for the former Preco Company in Auburn for 30 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and was once a member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society. He was also a former member of the Webster Lodge of Elks #1466.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, January 2, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St. After cremation, burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday, January 1, in the funeral home.
