Evelyn J. Marotta, 88 of Medford, died Tuesday after a long illness in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, MA.

Born in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Minnie (Mitchell) and James DiStasio. Evelyn was a Cafeteria Worker, at Medford High School for 5 years and retired in1980. She was a member of the Daughters of Italy.

Beloved wife of the late James “Jack” Marotta. Devoted mother of Jacqueline E. Mitchell, Lurlene Marie Smallcomb both of Medford, and James Richard Marotta of Scituate. Also survived by 5 loving grandchildren and 13 loving great grandchildren.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
