Obituary

BEVERLY: Regina E. (Cloutier) Duprey, 91, began her journey with Christ on Saturday, October 13, 2007. She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice H. Duprey who died in July 1996. She leaves this earth with her beloved dog “Bijeu” and entrusts to her family and friends who loved her all the loving memories she held so dear to her heart.
Born in Ashland, Maine on April 15, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (LeBel) Cloutier. Regina loved her faith and the peace and joy it brought to her. She loved her home and welcomed all those who entered with a smile and an embrace. To her Bible study family, she leaves a prayer of love and gratitude for all you are and all the peace you brought into her life. Her animals were her treasured gifts and companions. She lived humbly and loved unconditionally. A fresh bouquet of flowers on the table was all she needed to smile, and she did smile with a loving heart. She was a comfort to anyone who knew her. Known as “Jean” and “Gina” to some, the one thing you could always count on was her trust.
She touched the hearts of many. A special thanks goes to her private caregivers and all those at Beacon Hospice whose professionalism and compassion made her feel secure, confident and at peace in the last years of her life.
She leaves one final “I love You” to her son, Gerald J. and his wife Deanna Duprey of Beverly, her grandchildren, Lisa Hickey, Linda and her husband, Steven Hirshfeld, Lori and her husband, Richard Batchelder, Jerry and his wife, Tracy Duprey, Leanne and her husband, Jim Harwood and Lorna and her husband, Glenn Boudreau, her great-grandchildren, Ryan, Adam, Jordan and Stephanie Hirshfeld, Sean, Matthew and Brittany Batchelder, Beau, Drew and Tyler Hickey, Greg and Trevor Harwood, Jackie and Julia Boudreau and Haley and Cole Duprey, her nieces and nephews, Debra Linsky, Brenda Young and Sandra Doyle, Frankie Obremski and the late Peter Obremski and many dear friends. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 27th in the St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Cabot St., Beverly at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Lighthouse Foundation, c/o Beacon Hospice, 100 Cummings Center, Beverly, MA 01915.
