Michael J. Donnelly, 78, of New Bedford, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at home. He was the son of the late James and Frances (Veary) Donnelly.
Mr. Donnelly was born in Acushnet and had been a lifelong resident of New Bedford. Prior to retirement, he owned/operated the former Paramount Roofing, New Bedford. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to ride.
Survivors include his daughter: Tracey L. Holmes and her husband Robert of Dartmouth; 2 step children James Ventura and Lisa Ventura Randazzo; 2 brothers: Patrick Donnelly of Acushnet and David Donnelly of Fairhaven; 2 sisters: Jane Donnelly of NY and Katherine Brown of Fairhaven; 2 grandchildren: Joshua Holmes and Robyn Holmes; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Kim M. (Donnelly) Paim and brother of the late Peter Donnelly, Paul Donnelly, Daniel Donnelly, James Donnelly and Timothy Donnelly.
