Mr. Tawzer married his wife of 69 years, Maggie Elizabeth, on March 9, 1956, and went on to create a beautiful, large family of four children, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Mr. Tawzer was a founding member of Wayside Baptist Missionary Church. He spent many Saturday nights at local dirt-track races enjoying watching his sons compete, He ran a successful concrete business for decades and enjoyed planting his garden and bossing everyone on how to handle things in his retirement. Many fond memories were made at family dinners and birthday celebrations where all of his loved ones came together, and stories were shared from days past. No one ever celebrated a birthday that he did not also have a birthday that day. He enjoyed watching the Braves, during their “good” years when Chipper played and never missed a Nascar race on TV.
