Susan Manning Skenderian of Danvers, MA. passed away on March 7th, 2025. Beloved daughter of the late Robert and Eleanor Manning. Devoted wife of Armen Skenderian. Susan is survived by her sister Linda Manning, brother Robert Manning and his wife Ann, niece Rory and her nephew Robert. Also survived by her stepdaughter, Nyree, and grandchildren Noah, Lily and Jasmine and stepson Ara and his wife Melanie.
Susan had an aneurysm rupture in her brain, was treated by an excellent team of doctors, nurses, technicians at Lahey Hospital in Burlington. The team tried for seven days to save her life but, it was not to be. Her husband Armen, her brother Robert and all her close friends were around her bed most of the time. Fr. Vasken Kouzouian, the hospital Chaplains Bill and Heather presence and blessings were very healing. Susan was born May 26, 1955 in Dorchester. She attended Cathedral High School, graduated from UMass Boston with degree in Business Administration. She worked at Massachusetts Department of Revenue, and in 1998 transitioned to high tech joining Lotus Notes in Cambridge and subsequently IBM. Susan traveled in Europe, Middle East, Far East and Australia and retired from IBM in 2018. Susan loved nature and was an avid gardener, reader, enjoyed music, was excellent cook and baked the most delicious muffins.
Funeral service at Holy Trinity Armenian Church, 145 Brattle Street, Cambridge on Friday, March 21 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at church on Friday morning from 10:00 – 11:00, immediately prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Holy Trinity Armenian Church. Interment at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
