Hayrik lived his life with love, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to his family. Born in Bjni, Armenia, he brought a spirit of generosity, warmth, and laughter to every gathering. His love for his family, especially his grandchildren, was unmatched. They were fortunate to learn from him through his stories, life lessons, and endless curiosity about the world.
For 10 years, Hayrik was a steady presence at the Agoump, the Armenian social club in Watertown. Before moving to the U.S. in 1994, he managed a copper cable manufacturing company in Armenia. A lifelong learner, he cherished the outdoors, finding peace in the Armenian mountains and by the Charles River in Watertown.
A master of Backgammon and the traditional Armenian card game Blot, Hayrik loved a good challenge. Above all, he was the rock of his family. But it was his presence, his unwavering support, and his strength that made him the rock of the family. His seat at the dinner table may be empty, but his memory, his teachings, and his love will forever remain in our hearts. He will be missed dearly, but never forgotten.
