Andrea Bono of Medford formerly of Mazara Del Vallo, Sicily, Italy, passed away on January 7, 2025. He was 86 years old. Andrea was the beloved husband of Giuseppa (Ciaramitaro) Bono. Born in Mazara Del Vallo, Sicily, Italy, Andrea was the cherished son of the late Francesco and Maria (Sciarrino) Bono.

Andrea was born into a multigenerational family of fisherman. He eventually immigrated to the United States, where he continued his trade in the fishing industry. Andrea served in the Italian Military where he learned to be an engineer on various watercraft. He was an avid card player and loved to play Poker and Gin Rummy with his friends and family. He was a master Poker player!

Andrea was the dear brother of the late Nicolo' Bono, the late Vita Bono, the late Salvatore Bono, the late Maria Bono, of Mazara Del Vallo, Sicily, Italy, and Pietro Bono, Giuseppe Bono of Mazara Del Vallo, Sicily, Italy. He is also survived by 13 loving nieces and nephews.

Andrea’s funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, MA. on Monday, January 13, at 9AM, followed by a funeral mass in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, MA, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, January 12, from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital, Development Office, 165 Cambridge St. Suite 600, Boston, MA. 02114.

Services will conclude with burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
