Ralph A. Evangelista passed away January 4, 2025, at 91 years of age, after struggling for many years with multiple medical issues. Ralph was born and raised in Wakefield and was the son of the late Ralph F. and Celia Evangelista. He was the devoted husband of Loretta A. (Corrao) of Medford. They were married for 63 years. Ralph was a loving Dad to Lisa M. Evangelista and Julianne K. (Evangelista) Monbouquette. He was a dedicated father-in-law to Marc Monbouquette. His greatest joys in life were his twin grandsons: Cameron and Matthew Monbouquette. Ralph was the brother of the late Angelo Albanese, Samuel Albanese, Mary Manuel, Nancy Evangelista, Thomas Evangelista, and Eva Evangelista.
Ralph graduated from Northeastern University and first worked for American Aluminum in Malden and then became the General Manager for Harvey Industries in Woburn. Upon his retirement, he served the City of Malden as a school crossing guard. Ralph was a huge Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and New England Patriots fan. Ralph and Loretta enjoyed vacationing on the Cape and in Wells, Maine, as well as traveling on many of Ralph’s business trips and with his family and friends. They traveled to Panama, Jamaica, Mexico, California, Canada, and Florida to name a few. Ralph was a veteran of the United States Army.
The family extends special thanks to the nurses and caretakers at the Royal Meadow Nursing Home in North Reading and the Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford on Wednesday January 8th from 4 – 7 PM and again on Thursday morning at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
