Judith (Tancredi) Noftle, a long-time Medford resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones and those who cared for her at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center on Monday evening, December 30th. She was 82. Raised in Dorchester and Medford, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Catherine (Tracy) Tancredi.

Judy, a graduate of Medford High School, was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked for many years in academic administration at Bentley University. A creative, stylish, and generous woman, Judy loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed creative arts, decorating and entertaining at her Medford home. A wonderful cook, everyone looked forward to dinner, dinner parties or holidays, in order to share each other’s company and feast on Judy’s traditional pasta dishes and desserts, especially Sweet Pizza or Pizza Dolce..

The beloved wife of the late Walter Noftle, who passed away in 2016, Judy was a loving mother to Tracy Zampitella and her husband Richard of Tewksbury, and Kimberly Phillips and her husband Peter of Malden. She was a loving and proud grandmother of Andrew Zampitella. Judy was a dear sister to June Tancredi, and Robert Tancredi and his wife Katherine. She was a dear sister-in-law to Dorothy Shearin and her late husband Bill, to Margaret Cassidy and her husband Fred, and to the late Robert and Faye Noftle. She also leaves many devoted nieces, nephews and friends, including her Goddaughters, Julianne Lyons and Elizabeth Tancredi.


Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Tuesday, January 7th from 3 – 6:30 PM, concluding with a funeral service at 6:30 PM.
