Grace M. “Tootsie” Iritano passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 19th at Care One in Wilmington. She was 98. The daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Fiantaca) Iritano, Grace was born and raised in East Boston. As an adult she lived in Medford and later in Stoneham.
Prior to her retirement, Grace worked as a furrier in the garment industry. As a young woman she enjoyed hanging out at Revere Beach. Throughout her life she loved spending time with family and traveling.
A special thanks to her “Earth Angel,” Victoria, who was much more than a caregiver. She was like family. They fondly referred to each other as “Queen Victoria” and “Princess Grace.”
Grace was a dear sister to Lorraine Manis and to the late Catherine Capezzuto, Dorothy Candeliere, Phyllis Hoyt, and Salvatore "Sam" Iritano. She was a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, December 7 from 10:00-11:30 AM, followed by a prayer service at 11:30 AM in the funeral home. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
