Mary M. Wessick (McCune) of Somerville and Medford passed away on November 21, 2024. She was 85 years old. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Richard Wessick. Born in Boston, she was the cherished daughter of the late Frederick and Anna G. (O'Connor) McCune.

Prior to her retirement, Mary was employed by Blue Cross/ Blue Shield Insurance Agency working in their mailroom. Mary was a member of the Somerville Council for over 25 years. She enjoyed the many trips, playing Bingo and lunch outings with the Council. Mary’s love and devotion to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was undeniable.

Mary was the devoted mother of Margaret A. Ferreira and her late husband Frank of Medford, Richard Wessick of Medford and Diane Tambe and her husband Rick Strangman of Merrimac, MA. She was the adored grandmother of Krystle Ferreira, Steven Ferreira and his wife Shelly, Domenic Tambe Jr. (Mass. Army National Guard) and Richard Wessick Jr. and the loving great-grandmother to Kameron Memory and Christopher and Gianna Ferreira. Mary was the dear sister of the late Patricia and Irene McCune.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 27, from 9-11AM, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home beginning at 11AM. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 381059959.

Services will conclude with burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
