Obituary

TALBOT, Lisa A. (Costello) age 60, of Hyde Park, formerly of Brighton and South Boston passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on November 13, 2024. Born and raised in South Boston, Lisa was the daughter of the late James and Julia (Kelly) Costello and the youngest of six; she is survived by Linda Parker of Weymouth, Thomas Costello of Shrewsbury, and Joseph Costello of Revere. She is predeceased by the late and GREAT James “Jimo” Costello and her beloved sister, Mary (Costello) Fitzpatrick of South Boston and widowed to the late Robert Talbot of Brighton.

A devoted mother to five children, she is survived by Mark Talbot of Hyde Park, Christopher Talbot and his partner, Freja Hansen, of Hyde Park, Kelly Talbot of Avon, Brendan Talbot of Winthrop, Colleen Talbot and her partner Evans Domenech of Newton, along with their two children, Andre and Catherine.

Lisa was a dedicated teacher at the Children’s Hospital Daycare Center (formerly Knowledge Beginnings) for many years. She was always passionate about working with children; she spent many years creating a nurturing environment where her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on the children and families she worked with. Lisa's ability to connect and build strong, enduring relationships with these children and their families was a testament to her caring nature.

Outside of her teaching career, Lisa enjoyed traveling and exploring new places, though Disney World always held a special place in her heart. She was an avid reader with a deep love for the Harry Potter series and a fascination for true crime. Lisa loved going to the movies in her spare time; whether she was enjoying a night at the movies or curling up at home to rewatch The Wizard of Oz, Lisa found joy in the little things.

Above all, Lisa had an exceptional gift for making others laugh and smile. Her infectious sense of humor and bright spirit brought joy to all who knew her. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, and she will be remembered for her love, laughter, and the lasting memories she created with those she held dear.

A service will be held in her honor on Thursday, November 21 at 10:00am at Saint Raphael Parish Church located at 512 High St. Medford, MA
