WEST SPRINGFIELD – Georgette R. (Lampron) Remillard, 89, of West Springfield was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. She passed into Eternal Life at the Life Care Center of Wilbraham surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Joly, Province of Quebec, Canada on August 31, 1935, a beloved daughter of the late Onil and Philomene (Bedard) Lampron. In 1954, she settled in the North End section of Springfield where she lived for many years before moving to West Springfield in 1979. She was a hard working woman who took great pride in taking care of her family. She was a loving woman, who will be deeply missed by those who knew her. Active in her faith, she was a communicant of the former Saint Thomas Aquinas Church in Springfield where she was a member of Dames de Sainte Anne and was currently a communicant of Saint Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield. She was also a member of the Brightwood Golden Age Club in Springfield. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Raphael Remillard who was Called Home on April 28, 2012. They were married on August 20, 1955 at the former Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 56 years of happiness together. She leaves her four loving and devoted daughters, Therese Y. Remillard of West Springfield and her fiancé, Richard Davies, Doris M. Beauregard-Shecrallah and her husband, John, of Wilbraham, Diane M. Warner and her husband, Doug, of Haydenville, MA, and Claire M. Remillard of Chicopee; her seven cherished grandchildren, Scott Quirion, Eric Beauregard and his wife, Kristina, Chantal Angelica and her husband, Richard, Daniel Shecrallah, Jennifer Kawalec, Sean Riopel and Nicole Ulich and her husband, Daniel; her ten cherished great-grandchildren, Logan Beauregard, Caden Beauregard, Anthony Angelica, Evan Angelica, Jessica McCallie and her husband, Michael and Jeremy Kawalec and his wife, Haley, and Layla, Emma, Hazel, and Noan Ulich; her cherished great-great-grandson, Andrew McCallie; her dear sister-in-law, Elaine Lampron of South Hadley; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her six dear brothers, Robert, Maurice, George, Ferdinand, Marcel, and Jean-Paul Lampron; and her three dear sisters, Berthe Thivierge, Mariette Stanton, and Liliane Lampron. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, (funeral home will open at 8:15 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 63 Pine Street, West Springfield, MA 01089. Her burial will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery, 292 Hampden Street, Chicopee, MA 01013.
