LONGMEADOW - Sally A. Sadak, 95, died peacefully at Baystate Medical Center while surrounded by family and friends, on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Sally was the daughter of Michael E. Sadak and Mary (Daboul) Sadak. She was born in Springfield on October 11, 1928. Yes, heaven gained another angel when Sally passed into eternal life after a fearless battle with multiple infirmities. We will always remember her courage in sickness, her uncomplaining ways and how uncomplaining she was while facing the end. For several years, we watched our dear Sally's health deteriorate slowly but, impactfully. However, she never once gave up hope and remained positive in every step of her journey. For friends and family, it was quite sad to witness this once vibrant lady slowly falling into poor health! Sally attended Cathedral High School where she excelled as a student and graduated with honors. Entrepreneurial by nature, Sally gained true success in the business world. After working in several different areas of business, she settled in as the owner and operator of a fast-food restaurant in Springfield known as Sally's Burger Castle. She successfully operated this business for 15 years until her retirement. She was one of eight siblings of Michael and Mary Sadak; Frieda Condon, Joseph, George, Esper, Rosemary Overson, Marie, and John. She always enjoyed the love and friendship of family and friends and always was first in line to assist and support others! "Family as always" was first in her mind and she was so proud to pass that motto on to others. Sally has enriched most of us through her generosity, her compassion, her unique sense of spirit and most of all, her true love for everyone around her. Notwithstanding her many infirmities, Sally never complained and was always ready to enjoy a day at the Casino with her sister, Marie! A wise man once said that happiness is just a journey in life and not a destination. By this definition, Sally has taken many of us on a long and enjoyable journey of life and we will be forever grateful!
