Rita C. MacWilliams, of Medford, passed away on August 31st after a lengthy illness. Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Jeanette (Renaud) and Warren Coderre. She was the beloved wife of 43 years to Harold J. MacWilliams. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves behind a daughter, Dawn Evans and her husband Brian, a son, Darin MacWilliams and his wife Kerri, and three grandchildren, Brian and Caitlin Evans and Devin MacWilliams as well as great grandchildren. She was a retiree of Liberty Mutual Insurance Company after a career lasting 44 years. She enjoyed traveling. Her favorite destinations frequented over the years were Maui, Las Vegas and Florida. Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Wednesday September 4th from 4-7 PM. Graveside services at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody will take place on Thursday September 5th at 10 AM. Please arrive at the funeral home at 9 AM on Thursday if you plan on attending.
