Obituary

Michael John Jason, 83, of Bellingham died July 21 at the Blackstone Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in Whitinsville following a long illness. He was the husband of the late Patricia J. (Picardi) Jason who died last November.

Born in Hudson, September 21, 1940 , the son of the late Stanislaw and Mary (O’Connell) Jason, Mr. Jason was raised in Hudson and had lived in Bellingham since 1971.

Michael had owned his own house cleaning company for several years. Prior to that he had worked as an assemblyman for the General Electric Company, and that is where he met his late wife.

Michael served in the Air Force during the late 1950’s attaining the rank of Airman Second Class.

He enjoyed fishing, sitting by the ocean, going to Maine and spending time at the Cape with family and friends.

He was a devoted member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Franklin .

He is survived by his children, Margaret A. Jason and Michael J. Jason, Jr. both of Bellingham.

He was the brother of Rosemary Cappello of Florida and the late Anne Marie Pfaff.

Michael is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to his calling hours on Tuesday, July 30 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home ginleyfuneralhomes.com 3 Barber Steet, Medway from 10:00-Noon.

Burial services will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:30 p.m.

Due to floral restrictions at the National Cemetery the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452 or jw.org.
