Jeffrey A. Coite, 57, of Westport, peacefully passed away at home following a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, June 20, 2024 with his family by his side. He was the husband of Jenifer P. (Estrella) Coite.
Mr. Coite was born in Fall River, son of Lorraine (Isidore) Coite of Westport and had been a lifelong resident of Westport. A member of the Teamsters Local 25, Boston he was employed by Manfi Leasing as a truck driver for Stop & Shop. He loved driving tractor trailer trucks and heavy equipment. In 1995, he won the Northern region rodeo truck and equipment competition in Ohio and went on to win first place in the international truck and equipment rodeo for tractor trailers in Houston, TX. He enjoyed camping and his greatest joy was spending time with family.
Survivors along with his wife and mother include his 2 sons: Blake A. Coite and Bryce A. Coite, both of Westport; his sister: Laurie A. Amorin and her husband Richard of Westport; 5 grandchildren: Madisyn, Braylon, Adilyn, Declan and Lincoln; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Brett A. Coite and brother of the late Scott A. Coite.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Calling hours Wednesday from 9-11 A.M., prior to the service.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
