Steven R. Durfee, age 64, formerly of Mansfield and a former longtime resident of Stoughton, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 8, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.
Born in Brookline, MA on February 28, 1959, he was a loving son of the late Arthur, Sr. and Marjorie (Bills) Durfee.
Steve grew up and was educated in Hyde Park and Stoughton. He was a talented mechanic and most of his working career was spent in the automotive industry.
Steve especially treasured the time spent with his daughter and grandson. He was a man of strong Christian faith and his hobbies included fishing, being a car enthusiast and will always be remembered for the simple pleasure he received with a good cup of coffee.
He was the devoted father of Jennifer Durfee and Joshua Champey. He was the cherished grandfather of Jonah, as well as three other grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Artie Durfee, Ronny Durfee, Jerry Durfee, Susie Strange, Carol Durfee, Bob Durfee, Margie Durfee, Michael Durfee, Allen Durfee and Andrea Mellini. He is also survived by his loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours, in celebration of his life ,on Sunday, December 17th from 1:00-4:00 P.M. at the Clark Shores Recreation Hall, 233 5th Avenue in Lakeville.
