Obituary

EAST BALDWIN- David Baillargeon, age 78, passed away peacefully at his East Baldwin home on May 16, 2023, surrounded by his family, after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer.

Born March 4, 1945, he was the third child of Eddie and Venia Baillargeon of Dummer/West Milan, NH. David attended Milan and Berlin, NH public schools, and in 1964, he became a race car mechanic for his brother, Eddie. David remained in West Milan, NH for 28 years where he raised his three daughters with his first wife. He was a hard worker all his life and worked multiple jobs while raising his family, eventually owning his own logging and trucking businesses, respectfully. 1990, David moved to East Baldwin, ME, spending the next 20 years lake fishing, boating, hunting, and gardening with his second wife, until she passed away from her own battle with cancer.

In 2011, David was blessed beyond measure when he married his wife, Paula (Guthro) from Fremont, NH. Supportive of his every endeavor, the two spent the next 12 years together operating their little backyard farm in East Baldwin, raising chickens, turkeys, pigs and two pair of cherished oxen, Flap & Jack, and Dutch & Patch. David and Paula enjoyed many shopping trips, hobbies, and restaurants together, but nothing surpassed their love for the Fryeburg Fair- always anxiously awaiting every October and the fall weather. There would be many wonderful holidays and gatherings spent together in their home with family and friends.

David is predeceased in life by his parents, his first wife, Lila Viger and their infant daughter, Beulah Mae, his second wife, Joan Baillargeon, his brother Gene Baillargeon, sister Elaine Rogers, his infant great-grandson, Ethan James Harrison and many fur babies he called his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula of East Baldwin, ME, brother Eddie Baillargeon of Berlin, NH, three daughters - Ann Monroe of Clinton, TN; Norma Wilt and husband Harold of Jay, ME; Charlene Harrison and husband Patrick of Hebron, ME; two "bonus" daughters - Shelly Guthro of Nashua, NH and Melissa Guthro of Cape Coral, FL; Eight grandchildren - Johnathon Fortier, David, Ashley and Raymond Monroe, Sheila and Michael McNamara, Darcy Pope and Patrick Harrison; 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
