In Taunton, Scott Tabak, age 59, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 21, 2023. Born in Taunton, Scott was the son of the late Frank Tabak and Joan (Berube) Tabak.
Scott was a lifetime resident of Taunton, he was educated in the Catholic School system and a graduate of Coyle & Cassidy High School in 1981. He was an owner of Frank’s Auto Body, a family run business in Taunton for over 65 years. He took pride in his craftsmanship and was honest and fair to all of his customers. When he was not at the shop, he was known as the “River King”. He enjoyed jet skiing and boating on the Taunton River, listening to music, coaching his children’s sports teams, walking his rescue dog Baylor, relaxing by the water at the Tipsy Seagull, and spending time with his family and friends.
Scott is survived by his two children, Nicholas and Jessica Tabak, his sister Lynda Tabak, his ex-wife Susan Tosti all from Taunton, his uncle Michael Tabak of Falmouth, many cousins, and an uncle of several nieces, and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at O’Keefe-Wade Funeral, 70 Washington Street in Taunton on Sunday at 10-1 pm. With a funeral home service being held at 12:30 pm. His burial is private at the request of the family.
