Obituary

Inez Daniels McBrayer, 91, beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023, at PruittHealth in Moultrie, after an extended illness. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jimmie Hinson officiating. Mrs. McBrayer will be laid to rest at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 27, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Glenn Giddens, Ross Bennett, Jon McLean, Kevin McBrayer, David McBrayer and John McBrayer will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Lenox Christian Fellowship, Ted Bennett, Troy and Frances McBrayer, Billy and Louise Smith, Royce and Bobbie McBrayer, Faye Roberts and Mark and Andy Gill.

Born May 20, 1931, in Tift County, Mrs. McBrayer was the daughter of the late Floyd and Kate Daniels. She was also preceded in death by her dear husband of 51 years, Clyde McBrayer; four sisters and four brothers; and a son-in-law, Ronnie Bennett. Before retiring, Mrs. McBrayer worked for many years at Shaw Industries, Oxford Industries and Queen Carpets of Tifton. She was also a homemaker and a dedicated member of Lenox Christian Fellowship. Mrs. McBrayer was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ and was known for her devotion to God, Family and Friends. She loved to cook and sew; she loved tending to her children and grandchildren; she loved helping other people; and she enjoyed visiting nursing homes.

Mrs. McBrayer is survived by one daughter, Janice Bennett of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Frances McBrayer of Cumming; six grandchildren and their spouses, Susan and Glenn Giddens, Ted Bennett, Kevin and Erin McBrayer, David McBrayer, John McBrayer, and Kelly and Shaun Landry; eleven great-grandchildren and their spouses, Heather and Jon McLean, Katie Bennett, Ross Bennett, Landon McBrayer, Owen McBrayer, Declan McBrayer, Claire McBrayer and Allie, Autumn, Emma and Summer Bennett; and two great-great grandchildren, Perrin and Nathan McLean. Mrs. McBrayer is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the entire staff at PruittHealth at Sunset Circle in Moultrie.
