Sandra L. Luce
Retired area hairstylist


LOWELL: Sandra L. (Cooper) Luce, age 73, a resident of Lowell for 16 years, formerly of Wilmington, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

She was the beloved wife of Michael A. Luce, Sr., who passed away October 7, 2019.

Born in Malden on July 1, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Cooper and the late Vera (Frost) Cooper.

Sandra was raised in Malden and attended Malden Schools. Following high school, she attended the Wilfred Beauty Academy, where she received certification as a licensed hairstylist.

She and her late husband resided in Wilmington for 27 years until moving to Lowell in 2006.

Sandra enjoyed visiting and watching the waves at Revere Beach, Christmas movies, crochet, hosting family gatherings, and was an avid follower of the soap opera “The Days of Our Lives”.

She is survived by her children, Diane M. Katz and her husband Richard, of Billerica, Michael A. Luce, Jr., of Lowell, Christopher J. Luce and his wife Kristin, of Tewksbury, Steven J. Luce, of Pelham, NH, Rachel E. Rowbotham and her husband David, of Dracut, Jessica E. Rivera and her husband Jose, of York, PA, Sarah N. Orizal Luce and her husband Jose, of Campbell, OH, Thomas O. Reed and his wife Michele, of Wilmington, Megan L. Luce, of Lowell, Amanda R. Luce and her fiancé Shawn Francis, of Tewksbury, Robert A. Luce and his wife Abra, of Nashua, NH, Margaret A. Degou and her husband Christopher, of Nashua, NH, and Evelyn R. Needham, of Lowell. She leaves thirty grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and many additional family members.

Calling hours are Monday, January 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, immediately followed by a prayer service to be held at the funeral home.
