Linda Swanson Mixon, 64, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, November 27, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, Georgia, with the Rev. Cary Swanson and the Rev. Wayne Swanson officiating. Interment will follow in the Brushy Creek Cemetery, in Irwin County, Georgia. The family will receive friends, Saturday, from 6 PM until 8PM, at the funeral home in Ocilla, Georgia.
Mrs. Mixon was born January 16, 1958, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Roy & Ruby Kimbrell Swanson. She was a homemaker and she loved flower gardening, cooking, fishing and bird watching.
She is survived by her husband, Ricky Henry Mixon, of Irwin County; a son, Cory Dix & Payton; two daughters: Christy Mixon and Shelly Mixon Leyse & Beau; grandchildren: Shay Phillips, Ellis Dix, Liza Dix and Caroline Leyse; three brothers: Wayne Swanson, Freddie Swanson and Tracy Swanson and a sister, Brenda Swanson-Dix. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Swanson.
