Cheryl A. Scott, 67, of Derry, NH, passed away Friday July 29, 2022 in Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Winchester, MA on January 15, 1955, a daughter of the late Herbert and Lillian (Buker) Jones. Cheryl grew up in Tewksbury, MA where she graduated from Tewksbury High School. She had been a resident of Derry for the past 45 years. Cheryl had been employed as a cashier for Benson's Lumber and Hardware in Derry for 18 years. Her greatest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Daniel Scott of Derry; three daughters, Carol Boissonneault and her husband Daniel of Derry, Cathleen Ineson and her husband Simon of Derry, and Diane Greenwood and her husband Brandon of Tilton, NH; five grandchildren, Apryll Boissonneault, Jackson and Jordan Ineson, and Elliott and Wyatt Greenwood; her brothers, George Jones of Tewksbury, and David Jones and wife Paula of Dracut, MA; her sister, Carol Cote of Rochester, NH; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Christine Scott in 1980.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd from 5 - 7:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Mask usage is at the discretion of the attendee. Private graveside services will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Cheryl’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
