Obituary



WORCESTER___Kirk A. Willar, 77, of Worcester, died peacefully with family at his side on Sunday July 3, 2022 in St. Vincent Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 56 years, Patricia B. “Terry” (Turner) Willar, a son, Mark D. Willar and his girlfriend, T.K., of Worcester; three grandchildren, Adam, Kayla and Shane, four great-grandchildren, Kayliana, Alaysia and Frankie Valentin and Julian Willar, a brother, Rick Willar and his wife Barbara of Oxford; his niece, Kelly Riel whom he had a special bond with and many other nieces and nephews. Kirk was born in Clinton, a son of the late Augustus and Doris (Thibodeau) Willar and has lived in Worcester for most of his life.

Mr. Willar was a truck driver for many years with Niman Paper Supply Co., prior to his retirement. He loved music and enjoyed going to the casino. He also enjoyed playing tennis, racquetball and handball and when he was younger he was a boxer.

The private funeral will be held Thursday July 7, 2022 in DIRSA – MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street. Private burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
