On May 5th, Mrs Delores Woods died peacefully at home. She was Born in Methuen Mass. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Wilson) Crawford of Port Terra Nova Scotia Canada. She was a lifelong resident of Taunton Mass. Formerly of East Boston, MA. Educated in the Boston Mass school system. She loved children as she had many. She was a homemaker and worked part time as a Boston City school bus driver for many years. Delores was very personable, free spirited and outgoing. She had a very infectious personality and sense of humor. When you met her, her energy was radiant and she always treated you like family. She has touched many lives and had many friends of all ages. She was referred to as a mother figure to many of those in which she had encountered over the course of her lifespan. Those that had the privilege knew her as a generous, loving soul who was unapologetically herself and lived life on her own terms. She was strong, stubborn, who fought to survive her entire life, and she continued that fight up to the very last moment.
Delores was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was very loving of her family and friends. She was the mother of nine children: Eugene Wilson of Detroit Michigan, Gladys Wilson of Boston, The late Edmond Woods SR of Stoughton Mass, Felicia (Woods) Sarro of Boston, Norine Woods of Dorchester, the late Jaunine Woods of Boston, the late Colin Woods Sr of Taunton, Charlene Woods of Taunton, Ernest Woods Jr of Boston. She is survived by her five children; Charlene Woods, Norine Woods, Gladys Wilson, Ernest Woods and Felicia Sarro.
Delores was the grandmother of 18 grandchildren William Woods, Troy Woods, Joseph Sarro, Tyson Woods, Traci Sarro, Edmond Woods Jr, Terence Woods, Jason Pollard, Eric Pollard, Tony Woods, Ian Woods, Kelly Pollard, Devin Wilson, Krista Pollard, Brandon Pollard, Ellis Woods, Kalin (Reese) Woods, Colin Woods Jr. Delores was the great grandmother of 16 great grandchildren: Tatianna, Darrius, Issac, Aylicia, Lelani, Mariela, Janiya, Nisa Belle, Adrian, Lucas, Derick, Ariel, Emory, Victoria, Luca, Aaliyah.
The wake/memorial will be serviced by the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home located at 70 Washington St. Taunton, MA on Saturday, May 14th at 2:00 pm-4:00 pm.
