Porter - Gary E. Wentworth, 58, of Porter died unexpectedly on April 26, 2022 from a sudden cardiac event. He was born in Portland on December 16, 1963 a son of Paul and Priscilla (Philpot) Wentworth. He was educated in local schools and was a 1982 graduate of Sacopee Valley High School. He married Penny A. Davis on May 11, 1991.
Gary worked as a young man as a carpenter for his future father-in-law, Maurice Davis, who he learned a lot from. He then worked many more years as an electrician for Wadsworth Electric. He went on to work as a truck driver for M.B. Eastman in Porter, and most recently drove for Richard Wing and Son Logging in Standish.
Gary had many hobbies including stock car racing, hunting, especially in Ripley, ME., golfing, motorcycle rides with Penny and playing cards with family and friends. He loved his daily calls catching up with all the other truckers. It was the highlight of his day. Gary excelled at whatever he attempted, never finishing a job unless it was perfect. Above all he loved being a loving husband, father, son and good friend to many.
He is predeceased by his father, Paul Wentworth. Surviving are his beloved wife, Penny Wentworth of Porter, his mother, Priscilla Wentworth of Porter, his son, Kobey Wentworth of Porter, and his brother, Randy Wentworth of Cornish.
