Richard "Stewy" Schofield, 88 years old of Plymouth MA, passed away peacefully at Harborside Nursing Facility. Richard was a simple charming man who always made everyone feel like a longtime friend. He is survived by his long time wife Nancy Schofield. He was the father of the late Bruce Schofield. He was the step dad to Mark Brennan, Chris Brennan Scott Brennan, Tracey Brennan and Kerri Bergstrom, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grand children.
Richard grew up in Hingham MA, with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Schofield. His dad was a retired police officer. Richard worked in the printing business at Crawford Press in Brockton for many years before retiring. Richard liked to be mechanical by taking things apart and try to put them back together. He enjoyed car trips, yard sales and adventures to New Hampshire with his wife. Richard loved John Wayne and watching old movies. He was interested in old airplanes and enjoyed the Plymouth air shows. He rode motorcycles and scooters around town, while watching the boats at the boat ramp and meeting new people down the waterfront. Richard enjoyed watching Nascar races and the Patriots. He would meet his buddies at 3A diner for breakfast. Richard was the easiest going guy and brought joy to all with his great friendly demeanor.
He will be missed here on the earth. May you be at rest Stewy.
