In Boston, Francis Tichelaar, age 60, passed away in Tufts Hospital on January 24, 2022 following a brief period of declining health. Francis was the husband of the late Mary (Phillinger) Tichelaar. He was born in Taunton, the son of Anne (Dutra) Tichelaar and the late Frans Tichelaar.
Francis was a lifetime resident of Taunton. He attended Taunton schools and was a graduate of Taunton High School. Francis was employed at Lowe’s Home Improvement. He enjoyed working around his home, fishing, playing pool, softball and cards, going to the beach, attending family parties and above all loved spending time with family.
Francis leaves his beloved children; Samantha Tichelaar, Adam Tichelaar and Brandon Tichelaar all of Taunton and his late son Kyle Tichelaar, his siblings; Deborah Desrosiers and husband Napoleon of Middleboro, Susan Demello and husband George of East Taunton and Lynne Tichelaar of Attleboro. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Tuesday, February 1st from 4-7pm. A funeral home service will be held at 6:30pm. Burial is private at the request of the family.
